
Kats hit the road to Kennesaw State

KENNESAW, Ga. — The Bearkats travel to face off against Kennesaw State in a three-game series this weekend at Bailey Park in Kennesaw, Georgia.Â
Sam Houston (19-13, 4-2 Conference USA) is coming off a 4-1 midweek win over UTSA. The Bearkats have won both conference series to open league play.Â
Sam Houston holds a 4-2 all-time record against Kennesaw State (5-20, 1-5 CUSA). The teams first met in 2008 and most recently faced off last season, when the Bearkats swept the Owls in a three-game conference series.Â
Sophia Lundstrom continues to lead the offense with a .407 batting average, along with nine doubles, 44 hits and 108 at-bats. Veronica Harrison has 11 home runs this season and is three shy of the program's all-time record. Morgan Holliday recorded her 12th stolen base in Wednesday's win over UTSA, moving past Lundstrom, who previously led the team with 11.Â
The series begins Friday at 4 p.m., continues Saturday at 1 p.m., and concludes Sunday at 9 a.m. All games will be streamed on ESPN+.
