Did not make debut until 4/10 at Abilene Christian due to injury suffered just prior to start of the season ... proved to be key piece to Bearkat bullpen in final 2 months of the season ... made 11 appearances on the year, going 0-1 with a save and a 1.62 ERA ... struck out 20 and walked just 5 in 16.2 innings while holding opponents to just a .145 average ... punched out a season-high 5 hitters in 3.0 scoreless innings of relief in late-season win over Abilene Christian (5/20) ... picked up first career save by retiring final 2 hitters of tight game in the series finale at UTRGV (5/15) ... struck out 4 hitters in 2.0 innings against UTSA (4/13) ... ranked in preseason by D1Baseball.com as the No. 7 impact freshman in the WAC
